~ Do I need to book ahead for Soneva Kiri’s restaurants?

Tables at Kiri restaurants are based on availability (excluding So Fresh for our Half and Full Board guests). You can book in advance via Reservations, or you can speak to your Barefoot Butler if you want to book a specific restaurant during your stay.

~ Are beverages included in the Half or Full Board meal plans?

No. All beverages, including juice, water and aerated and alcoholic drinks are charged separately.

~ Breakfast: All meal plans include breakfast at Down to Earth and So Cold.

~ Lunch (Full Board) & Dinner (Half Board / Full Board): Down to Earth, Overseas by Mathias Dahlgren, So Wild and Director’s Cut

Full Board Plus includes house brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at mealtime only in restaurants or at a group event in a pre-designated venue. In-villa mini bar will be replenished once per day with compliments and alcohol will be replenished once per week with compliments.

With a name inspired by its breath-taking overwater location in Soneva Jani’s lagoon, Overseas by Mathias Dahlgren is the brainchild of the acclaimed Swedish chef and restaurateur. After visiting Soneva Jani, Mathias fell in love with the location and wanted to celebrate the seafood found in the Indian Ocean and the produce grown in the resort’s organic gardens. Located by The Gathering, the overwater al fresco restaurant and kitchen has a laid-back atmosphere with uninterrupted views towards the horizon is open for lunch and dinner.

Dine on a health-conscious, plant-based menu designed by the innovative raw food chef Diana Von Cranach, showcasing unique and simple dishes that revive historical, nearly-forgotten traditional recipes from the Indonesian Spice Islands and South East Asia. Ninety per cent of the ingredients come freshly picked from Soneva Jani’s organic garden and most dishes will be raw. Expect some unusual ingredients, as well as healing herbs and botanics.

The Crab Shack (Asian / International / Maldivian / Sri Lankan cuisine)

With an upstairs deck for watching the sunset, try the Sri Lankan Mud Crab curry, or the Alaskan crabs that rotate through the week. A selection of rosés are the highlight of the drinks menu. Voted as the ‘World’s Most Romantic Restaurant’ on CNN.com. The 32 cover restaurant and 14 seat bar is located on Soneva Jani’s southwest beach, on the opposite side of the island to Cinema Paradiso, and is comprised of two levels. The ground floor is taken up by the restaurant, kitchen and bar area, with the first-floor deck designed especially for guests to relax on tiered daybeds and enjoy the Maldivian sunsets while sipping on rosé wine or other beverages.
