ABOUT WAKE

In line with the ideas of new urbanism and community that drive the town of Las Catalinas, WAKE presents a fresh take on the urban day spa.

Different from standard, exclusive resort spas, WAKE is an accessible and casual place where both locals and visitors can find excellent body care, esthetic services, a healthy mindset and social connection. We offer a contrast and compliment to the outdoor adventures of Costa Rica and the many active lifestyles in our community. This is a refuge from the elements, a place to regroup and feel clean and cool. Whether someone comes in for a targeted sports massage after a tough workout in nature, or for a relaxing 90-minute massage to relieve accumulated life stresses, or simply for a coffee and a manicure -- our goal is that all guests leave feeling recharged and motivated for healthy living.

PHILOSOPHY

Our name, WAKE, was inspired by multiple interpretations of the word. In addition to a suggestion of awakening the senses and mental clarity, we love the image of the trail behind a boat in the ocean -- the idea of what comes after, “in the wake of”, great action/activity. Going beyond the typical spa atmosphere of zen relaxation, we hope to create an inspiring place to be. Our facilities and ambiance are thoughtfully designed to include color, fun, and artistic elements that feel more social and thought-provoking than the usual spa serenity.

SPACE

In our three private treatment rooms, the “back of the house”, we provide a solid menu of massages, body treatments, facials, and waxing services. It is a tranquil place to retreat from the stimuli of the outside world. Our public area, “front of the house”, includes a full service nail care lounge, a hair station, and reception/retail area that encourages gathering and browsing. It is a place for more interaction and energy. We hope people will feel like it’s a fun place to hang out and feel good.
