Barbados Airport Information, Airlines that Serve Barbados Airport (BGI) and Airport Transfers

Updated over a week ago

Traveling to Barbados is made easy with a variety of international airlines offering both scheduled and charter flight services to the award-winning Grantley Adams International Airport in Bridgetown, Barbados (airport code: BGI). The airport boasts modern facilities such as an information desk, a bank, a post office, a pharmacy, and even free WiFi services. Tip: Request a seat on the left side of the plane for stunning views of the west coast upon landing.

Barbados is just a short 3.5-hour flight from Miami, 4 hours from Charlotte, and 4 hours and 20 minutes from New York. Direct flights to Barbados are available from the United States through American Airlines from Miami (MIA), Delta from Atlanta (ATL), USAir from Charlotte (CLT), JetBlue from New York (JFK), and US Air from Philadelphia (PHL). From Canada, Air Canada and WestJet offer flights, while British Airways or Virgin Atlantic fly in from Europe. Please ensure that you have a valid passport, and check visa requirements for your country of origin.

We recommend utilizing our Barbados VIP services, which includes fast track through customs to expedite your arrival. The customs line can be long at times due to multiple international flights arriving at roughly the same time, but with fast track services, you can avoid long waits and enjoy a hassle-free arrival. Please contact Isle Blue concierge services to arrange your fast track and VIP services.

For your arrival, you can choose to arrange an airport pickup with a professional driver to take you directly to your villa, or pick up a rental car at the airport. We highly recommend the airport pickup option to ensure a warm welcome experience, where the driver will handle your bags and notify the villa of your arrival. West Coast transfers will service the west coast of the island that are north of Bridgetown. The South Coast transfers service the island between the airport and Bridgetown

Our concierge service will also arrange for your Barbados rental car to be delivered to your Barbados villa, free of charge. This service ensures that you arrive at your villa quickly, while alleviating the stress of driving on the left-hand side of the road, navigating unfamiliar roads, and refuelling the car after a long flight.
