Faro Airport Information, Airlines that Serve the Airport of Faro and Travel by Car

Portuguese highways, whether you travel by bus or your own car, are newly built, fast and modern. Here are some distance indications:

  • Faro to Sevilla: 200km / 2h10

  • Faro to Lisbon: 280km / 2h40

  • Faro to Porto: 550km / 4h45

  • Faro to Lighthouse of Cabo de São Vicente: 123km / 1h30

  • Faro to Portimão: 70km / 1h

By Plane

The only airport for the Algarve is Faro Airport (FAO). The other closest airport are Lisbon (LIS) or Sevilla (SVQ). Numerous direct flights from the UK, France, Spain, Germany with low cost companies and also from Toronto with Air Transat.

Air France from Paris
British Airways from London
Easyjet from London, Liverpool, Manchester, Milan, Nice, Berlin

For guests traveling from the United States we recommend connecting through the European cities above and using the following recommended airlines:

  • London and using British Airways, Easyjet (discount)

  • Barcelona and using Iberia or Vueling Airlines (discount)

  • Paris via Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and using Air France or Transavia

There is one open line between North America and Faro, Air Transat offering direct flights from Toronto (YYZ) and Faro (FAO).
