Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn Beach)
Of all the beaches in Croatia, Zlatni Rat is the most iconic — photogenically shaped like a tongue, its tip altering slightly as tides and winds shift over the course of a year. Go early morning or arrive by private boat to avoid the crowds.
Hike Vidova Gora
The highest point of all the islands in the Croatian Adriatic, Vidova Gora rewards hikers with increasingly impressive views on the 3-hour trek up from Bol. From the summit you can see Hvar and the Croatian mainland. A summer-only bar at the top makes it even sweeter.
Blaca Hermitage
This well-preserved 16th-century hermitage was built into the cliffs by Glagolitic priests fleeing the Turkish invasion. Its museum displays religious artefacts, paintings, and antique furniture collected by monks over the centuries. Utterly unique and deeply atmospheric.
Wine & Olive Oil Tasting
The Museum of Olive Oil in Škrip is a small family-run factory offering tours covering the history of olive oil production, with tastings of olive oils, local cheese, wine, and fruit jams. Pair this with a visit to Stina Winery in Bol — its location on the harbour is unbeatable, with cheese, bread, and olives served alongside Croatian wines.
Pučišća & the Stonemasonry School
The White House, Diocletian's Palace in Split, the Cathedral of St James in Šibenik, and the Parliament Houses in Budapest and Vienna were all built using Brač's famous white stone. The Stonemasonry School in Pučišća is the only one of its kind in Croatia — a fascinating and truly one-of-a-kind visit.
Island Road Trip or Jeep Tour
The island's landscapes are surprisingly varied — hilly terrain with far views around Škrip, azure blue waters along the north coast, and narrow winding roads with picturesque towns on the road to Milna. A private jeep tour is the best way to cover it all in a day.
Traditional Lamb Peka Dinner
Lamb peka is a traditional Croatian dish — lamb and vegetables cooked slowly under a bell-shaped lid placed directly in the fireplace, resulting in incredibly tender, flavourful meat. Farm experiences like Tomas offer this alongside wine tastings for a deeply authentic evening.
Hidden Coves near Milna
The beaches near Milna — Maslinova, Osibova, Lučice, and Pasikova — offer crystal-clear, calm aquamarine water that's outstanding for snorkelling and diving. Best accessed by private boat.
The golden rule on Brač: go beyond Bol. The island richly rewards those who explore its villages, quarries, and coastline away from the main tourist spots.
Island Hopping from Brač
Brač's central location makes it an excellent base — from here you can reach Hvar, Šolta, Vis, Korčula, the Pakleni Islands archipelago, and the Blue Cave on Biševo island.
Hvar — 30 min from Brač - Top Pick
Go to Hvar for luxury and nightlife. The town of Hvar has charming narrow streets and historic buildings. Climb up to the Fortica fortress for stunning panoramic views, and don't miss the Pakleni Islands — a group of small islets just off the coast, perfect for swimming and sunbathing in crystal-clear sea. Best reached by private speedboat or catamaran from Bol.
Vis — Raw & Unspoiled
Located furthest from the mainland of all inhabited Croatian islands, Vis boasts untouched nature and a rich history. For a long time it was a military zone inaccessible to tourists, which helped preserve its authenticity. It's known for hidden coves, underwater caves, and is ideal for diving enthusiasts. The nearby Blue Cave on Biševo is a bucket-list stop.
Korčula — Medieval Gem
Korčula has one of the most preserved medieval towns in the Adriatic, with charming cobblestone streets brimming with history. Often compared to Dubrovnik but quieter. Kapetan Luka's fast catamaran connects Bol on Brač directly with Korčula Town, running daily from June through September.
Šolta — Hidden & Unspoiled
Šolta is the closest island to Split, yet it is little visited and unspoiled, with beautiful beaches and hidden bays just a hop away from Milna on Brač. Perfect for a private speedboat day trip — few tourists, total tranquility.
Mljet — Nature & National Park
Go to Mljet for nature and tranquility. Well known for its two salted lakes, Mljet is also a Croatian National Park, with 135 km of coastline, numerous coves and bays — ideal for nature lovers, scuba diving, snorkeling and hiking.
How to Hop — Luxury Style
For those who value privacy and comfort, private boat transfers offer greater flexibility in departure times and routes, with comfortable seating, sun decks, and other amenities — especially useful for visiting smaller, less accessible islands.
Suggested luxury route from Brač:
Brač → Hvar (morning by speedboat) → Pakleni Islands (lunch at anchor) → Vis / Blue Cave (afternoon) → back to Brač at sunset
Or for a multi-day itinerary: Brač → Hvar → Korčula → Dubrovnik by private crewed yacht — the classic Dalmatian grand tour.
