St Martin | St Maarten is known for it's breathtaking white sand beaches and turquoise waters. The island boasts over 37 beautiful beaches.  The following beaches are must visit beaches.

Southwest Beaches

Baie Longue (highly recommended)

A south western facing beach with pristine water quality and sandy beaches. The best beach in Terres Basses. Belmond La Samanna anchors the southern end of the beach. No amenities on this beach. Fabulous sunset views.


Baie Rouge

Beautiful mile long beach with a highly scenic backdrop. Can be rocky at times depending on wave patterns. No amenities.

Cupecoy

Postcard perfect beach with sandstone cliff backdrop. Beach conditions vary greatly and can be rocky.


Mullet Bay (highly recommended)

One of the best beaches on St Martin. Usually has ideal conditions. Beautiful and large beach with pristine blue waters. Kalatua beach bar is located on this beach.

Plum Bay

Western facing beach tucked in the Terres Basses peninsula. Usually calm waters and ideal for children if the beach is sandy. Beach conditions vary. Pristine beach with few beach goers. Ideal location for sunset views

Northwest Beaches

Friars Bay (recommended)

Has a couple of cool beach bars and good beach conditions. Calm waters. Renowned for full moon parties


Happy Bay (recommended)

Pristine beach with ideal conditions but difficult to get to. Requires hiking. Villas in Happy Bay can access the beach via a path.


Grand Case


A calm village beach but has limited beach space.


Where to stay: Happy Bay and Grand Case

Northeast Beaches

Anse Marcel

A hidden cove with a lovely beach. Calm protected waters and good beachside restaurant.

Cove is reknowned for it's history as a pirate's sanctuary.


Orient Beach

The St Tropez of the Caribbean. A mile long beach with great beach bars and plenty of watersports. A fabulous way o spend the day with it's popular beach restaurants. Great food and atmosphere await

Le Galleon


A protect shallow cove great for young children. Shallow water for hundreds of feet. No amenities. Do not leave valuables in the car
